    How to perform Hubspot Tableau Integration?

    Hubspot can be integrated into Tableau using a two-step process. Step 1 is to extract data from Hubspot. Step 2 is to upload the data into Tableau.

    Step 1: Extract the data from HubSpot:

    1. To export the HTML files of pages present in HubSpot:
      1. Locate the Landing-page or Website-pages tab.
      2. Click on the More Tools drop-down menu on the bottom left corner.
      3. Select the Export all Pages and Posts.
      4. A dialog box will appear. Click on Export. You will now get a download link through email.
    2. To Export the CSV files of all the blog posts on Hubspot:
      1. Go to the Marketing tab, click on Website.
      2. Select the Blog tab.
      3. Click on the More Tools drop-down menu present in the bottom left corner.
      4. Select on Export all pages and blog posts. A dialog box will appear.
      5. Click on the Export Button Blog Posts.
      6. Select the File Format that would appear in the drop-down menu.
      7. Select the option based on the requirement for all the blogs or a specific blog. Then click on Export
      8. Once the processing is complete, you will now get a download link through the mail.
    3. Export the records like contacts, deals, tickets and many more present in Hubspot:
      1. For Contacts, Companies, Custom Objects go to the Contacts tab and select the respective parameter.
      2. For Deals, go to the Sales tab then click on Deals.
      3. For Tickets, go to the service tab and then click on Tickets.
        1. In Deals and Tickets, ensure that the content is in table format. You can do this by clicking on ListView Table Icon present on the Upper Left.
      4. To Export All the records select the All [records] tab.
      5. To export the records of a specific or custom view, go to All Views and click on the view name you want to import.
      6. After the view is selected click on the Table Actions drop-down menu and select Export View.
      7. Click on the File Format Option and select the format based on the requirement.
      8. In the next options select whether you want to include all the parameters in The View or all the parameters on records.
        1. If you are exporting contacts, select the Include All Email Adress option as well.
        2. If you are exporting company records, select the Include All domains Option as well.
      9. In the drop-down menu select the language the column headers would appear in the exported file. Only the column headers will be translated and the values of recodes will not be changed.
      10. Click on Export
      11. After the processing is done you will receive a download link through the mail.

    Step 2: Import Data into Tableau

    1. To Import Excel (.xls or .xlsx) file into Tableau.
      1. Open the Tableau Tool. Click on the Connect Section present on the left side of the Home Page.
      2. In the ‘To a File’ section select the Microsoft Excel Option.
      3. A File Selector Dialog Box will appear. Choose the desired file that you wish to add or import to Tableau. Click on Open.
      4. Tableau will open a new screen that shows the connected data.
      5. You can perform many operations on the data, and all the sheets of the excel file can be accessed.
    2. To Imports other formats such as .csv, .txt, .tsv into Tableau:
      1. Open the Tableau Tool. Click on the Connect Section present on the left side of the Home Page.
      2. In the ‘To a File’ section select the Text File option.
      3. A File Selector Dialog Box will appear. Select the file you want to insert to Tableau. Click on Open.
      4. Tableau will open a new screen that shows the connected data.
      5. Change the delimiter properties. Click on the drop-down arrow on the connected data file name.
      6. Click on the text file properties button.
      7. In the menu change the parameters based on requirements. Tableau has the ability to auto-detect these values but in some cases, you may need to change them.
      8. Now you can perform various operations on this data.
